My 30th and my 1st mother's day

Both went really well, I think. A little quieter than usual for my birthday, but highly enjoyable.

Saturday morning, I couldn't sleep at all. I think I managed a total of 2 hours. Fortunately, I had energy for most of the day. The Spot had a whip enthusiasts group that Fenris likes to go to, so we had plans to do that and pick up Bryan. Of course, this meant that we had to be up fairly early. We got the car mostly cleaned out....all the garbage and what not has been removed, finally! I've got to do better at that. All that's left is a box and some oddball stuff to bring in. We were late leaving the house to go pick up Bryan. I dropped Fenris off at the club, and picked up Bryan. It was a nice day out, so I drove with the windows down and the music up. Yay!
After getting Bryan, he and I headed to Denny's. I had a mocha in the morning, and that sent my blood sugar sky rocketing (I'm expecting to hear the lecture on Monday when I go in.), but it came down quite a bit with food. We talked about a lot of things, politics, parenting, catching up, gossip....all the stuff friend's discuss :) He paid for my lunch as a birthday thing, which was really sweet, especially since I know he's saving to go to California on his birthday to be with his mom.
After that, we went to get Fenris so we could meet Mike & Jamie. That all went smoothly, which is good. Met them down at the McDonald's on 5th, since Mike was working and the Space Needle is the only thing in the Northend he knew :) Fenris rode with them while we drove up here to the house. Its the first time they've been here, and I'm glad they got the chance to see the 'new' place. Jamie entertained us with tales of Sims abuse ;) Let me just say....*I'm* not the twisted one. :P
When Kyros got home from work, we all decided to go to dinner at Bucca Di Beppo. Yummy, yummy. I was worried about carbs a little, because its an italian resteraunt...pasta. I must say though that I did really well and ate mostly protien. Yay me! The conversation was fun, and slightly disturbing at times. Well, at least to the other people in our section. And I think our poor waiter was taken by surprise at a certain comment about him being on the table....heh. Poor guy. He handled it well though, even if it did take him a minute to think of a come-back. All in all, the cost wasn't terribly bad either. Fenris got dinner for us.... :)
After dinner, Mike and Jamie left...Mike had to be up early this morning for work. He commutes from Tacoma. Insane. Fenris and I took Bryan home. We debated on going to the club....but, I think it was better that we didn't. After only 2 hours of sleep, I was loosing wind. We stopped by the grocery store and got me some Dryer's sugar free ice cream and some little waffle bowls so I could have desert on my birthday :) Sadly, I was asleep by 12:30. Is that a sign that I'm getting old?!
Today was a great day as well. My first mother's day. We went to breakfast at the Elk's. It was a really nice program, and the whole family was there. Its been a long time since we've all shown up for the breakfast...but it was great seeing everyone. Ausha showed up at the last minute, and I was pleasantly surprised by that. We all thought she'd be babysitting, but I guess the guy never called her back. Darn. Mom gave me some crysanthimums (not sure if that's spelled right) to plant. They're a real pretty blue color, and smell sweet. Everyone gave me cards...and my mom gave me a 'mother to be card' was really cute. Again, today was absolutely beautiful out. Nice and warm. Uncle Bill offered to take us down to the Locks...but, I didn't have shoes for walking. Plus I didn't have the energy..once again I only got a few hours sleep. About 4 this time. Sleep has become an elusive thing.
After breakfast, we stopped by Cheryl's so she could give me some clothes. I got a couple pairs of pants that may work for 'maternatiy' stuff, and a nice t-shirt that should fit with room to spare. Also a really nice black blouse...yay! I'll probably try those on tomorrow...I may adjust the pants to shorts, since I don't have any that fit real well any more. I have one pair right now that are working alirght, but if my belly gets any bigger...oi vey!
I've done nothing with the house today as I'd planned. Instead, I came home and took a much needed nap. I think I'm gonna go to bed here soon....but I wanted to record my nice weekend :) Soon, I'll get outdoors and plant those mums I think...I'm just not sure where. Tomorrow I go to the doctors again, for my blood pressure. Hopefully it won't take long so I still have energy when I come home. I have things I want to get started on :)
