Unfortunately, I'm left with little time this morning to put these frantic thoughts down. I, will however, bring paper with me and write them down as I can....my thoughts on this war that I don't really understand. My thoughts on patriotism, and my fear that we may turn into the terrorists we fight against.I have two questions that really press my mind. One is put to you, and I hope that you respond.
What is patriotism to you and do you live it? If so, how? (Okay, so maybe its more than one question)
The other I have is a personal question, one that I doubt can be answered anytime soon. Will this war be worth the loss it creates? How will it affect our nation, our world? And will it be worth the loss of human life?
Though, at this point, I don't agree with the war....I am eternally grateful for the men and women who volunteer to fight it. My thoughts and prayers are with those who fight this war, who love this country enough to give their lives - regardless of 'right' or 'wrong', or personal opinion of it all. My thoughts and prayers are also with the innocents who will inevitably be caught within the conflict...both on the homefront and those of the 'enemy', for an innocent life is an innocent life and should be cherished as much as life itself.
