Weds we move to the other building. I think I'm working 7-4 for the 'protected' shift, which will last all of 3 days. Mostly because everyone goes to their new shifts on Sunday. During those 3 days we'll have 'roamers' to help us with questions and what not. After that, it'll be up to the supes and team members to help us. Happy, joy...*nerves*.
I know I'll get it down, it'll just take a little bit of time. We have our new shifts, we did the bids today. I was low on the senority list (Names were picked from a hat..literally, for the order of senority), so I got stuck with a shift I'm not terribly enthused about. Still, it could be worse I suppose. Shift bids are every 6 months, so there's hope to get a better shift in a few months. Right now, I'm working 9:30 - 6:30. Its not the time that I'm complaining about really....its the fact that I have to work Sundays. I don't want to...I'd like to be able to have Sunday to recover from the LH. Ah well, such as life, I guess.
I can be grateful that I have a job, that I have a shift that doesn't start at 6 am on Sunday...that was the other 2 options for shifts by the time it got to me...and I can be grateful that I'll be off work early enough to make attending the LH parties worth it. Oh, yeah..I can be grateful for working fairly close to the LH too.
On other news...I started playing CoH last night. I had an enjoyable time. I did get a little frustrated toward the end of my time though - but I can chalk that up to being tired at 2 am. I realize I have to watch my time with that game..there's no clock inside the game, and I have little to no sense of time. I didn't realize how late it was until I signed off. I can't make a habit of that.
Everything else is going well. I've decided that I should try to write everyday...at least in my journal, whether it be handwritten or here. Maybe even my stories...I can expand on my ideas. It doesn't have to be perfect, so long as I'm working at it. Practice makes perfect after all.
