The first thing to address is my pay. I think it's time I move to the per page rate. Since we've been able to edit/proof in one program, my speed has come up immensely. In the last week or so, I've averaged 15 pages per hour, which is more than what he required for me to change to a per page rate. This includes the breaks I take in the late afternoon to read/post to LJ or other things - which tend to be 20 minutes or so. I try not to do it all the time, but there are times when a break is just needed. I have been keeping track of how many pages I do in a day, and how that breaks down to an everage per hour. Yes, I think it's time. Wish me luck.
The second thing that needs addressing is the equipment. My recorder threatened to eat the tape again (the same one as on Friday). Fortunately, I was able to wind it back in without it being broken. It's still possessed too. It's randomly playing, though I've not pressed play or used the foot pedal. It won't let me stop playback without just turning the power off (again, a random occurance), and it randomly switches from play to rewind continuously - again, until I turn it off. I'm hoping that he'll get a new one instead of using one of the ones in the store room. The office manager and I concluded those were of questionable reliability - one even has a post it note that it's not working. *headdesk*
